Tools

 

As a 3d artist I frequently run into situation when the available tools are limited, or I have to perform repetative actions, or the tools provided by the application is not enough. I started to create my own tools to overcome this situation.

 

I have experience in scripting for Softimage, Max and Maya. I wrote the very first connection between Softimage and ZBrush GoSoftimageLite. 

 

I made modeling and UV mapping tools (called JesterAddon) and made an xNormal Connection (xNormalExportAddon), that makes the following:

  • Using your low res model creates a cage, and maintain to extact topology of the original mesh

  • Allows you to set up the parameters of map baking

  • Builds up the XML setting files

  • Calls xNormal to bake the checked maps
